Installation Instructions
1.Before installation, conduct a compatibility test between the rubber strips and the coated profiles. For rubber strips that come into contact with plastics such as acrylic and polystyrene, a declaration should be made before placing an order to avoid mutual erosion between the rubber strips and the contact objects.
2. To ensure smooth installation, the rubber strips can be coated with silicone oil or saponification liquid.
When installing the rubber strips, it is strictly forbidden to pull them forcefully. They should be pre-extended compared to the profile length (2% for PVC types and 1% for thermosetting elastomers and rubber types) to prevent sealing failure due to the contraction of the rubber strips.
4. The factory can adopt necessary tooling fixtures (such as rolling wheels) as needed. \ n5. It is best to use the rubber strip as a whole. The 90-degree cut at the corner should not be completely cut off, and appropriate adhesives should be used for bonding.
6. After installation, the joint position of the rubber strip should be reserved above the door or window as much as possible to prevent rainwater from seeping in along the joint. Use corner pieces if necessary.
7. When using glass clips, a buffer rubber pad should be installed at the bottom of the glass.
8. It is best to use embedded installation, which is convenient for installation and secondary maintenance.
9. Installation of window frames and window sashes
After the welding corners are cleared, the rubber strip should be pushed into the profile groove in the correct direction with a special roller, and at the same time, the triangular cap of the rubber strip should be pressed down until it is embedded in the profile groove. As the rubber strip is made of rubber, it may retract after being rolled. The correct method is to retract the two ends of the rubber strip a little towards the middle when it is installed at the two end interfaces, leaving a contraction allowance of 2-3 centimeters, and then cut and insert it.
② Glass pressure strips (single glass, double glass) : Manually insert the rubber strips into the profile grooves on the correct side. Push the one end of the rubber strip forward with force. When it reaches the end of the profile in front, retract the two ends of the rubber strips a little towards the middle. Then, leave a 1-2 centimeter allowance at each end and cut it off. If the profile groove size is irregular and it is difficult to insert, A small amount of silicone oil can be brushed on the profile grooves with a brush, which can reduce the installation load. The correct installation method can ensure that your doors and Windows achieve satisfactory results in terms of air tightness and water tightness, without any shortening or missing corners.
When using the entire roll of rubber strips, the packaging thread should first be unwound and removed. For the upper packaging tray cover, pull out the paper core in the middle, pull out the beginning of the rubber strip from the middle, and use it from the inner ring outward. The correct usage method can prevent the rubber strip from tangling, knotting and other phenomena, and save installation time.
